Right before the British duo Massive Attack headline the Sasquatch Music Festival they will bring their trip-hop to Vancouver and unleash an assault on Van City. May 29th “3D” and “Daddy G” the founding members of Massive Attack and arguably the music genre “trip hop” itself will step on the stage at the Malkin Bowl and show off their critically acclaimed new album Heligoland and you can bet some old gems many of us have been waiting years to see live. Massive Attack have never needed gimmicks, costumes or a goofy mouse head to be important to music, they’ve basically pioneered a genre followed by Portishead, Theivery Corporation, the Gorillaz and millions of music fans from all over the world.

The price tag is a bit much at $68 (all fees and taxes in) but consider it a gift to yourself, the gift of seeing legends perform the songs we’ve all heard *see below* in one of Vancouver’s most stunning music venues, the outdoor theatre that is Malkin Bowl.
